The following reviews are for the action-adventure novel,

Pulp Heroes - More Than Mortal

“A great novel! Absolutely superb!!
The author manages to weave together (and tie up the loose ends of) stories and characters, both heroes and villains - fictitious and real, from the past two hundred years and makes the final result sound completely plausible. Love the Machiavellian/Marquis de Sade type villain Victor Kaine!”

“An enjoyable pulp hero pastiche!
This book is an obvious labour of love, to create an epic pulp hero novel. And I think overall the author succeeded.

“I've never read anything like it!
It's like League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, LOST, X-Files, Highlander, Unbreakable, and Indiana Jones all rolled into one! I couldn’t put it down!”

“Gone With The Wind of Pulps!!!
Wayne Reinagel's massive tome pays homage to great classic pulp heroes of the 1930s and throws in a few Victorian figures for good measure. In doing so he has written the Gone With The Wind of all pulp pastiches, truly a monumental achievement. This is truly an amazing book, so buckle up for the ride of your life. It's a roller-coaster of action adventure that packs more thrills than any other five modern thrillers combined. It's a grand literary achievement and I tip my fedora to Mr. Reinagel for pulling it off so magnificently. Pulp enthusiasts are going to adore this book.

“More Than Fantastic!
As a long time fan of the action/adventure pulps of the 20's and 30's I had to check this out when I heard about it. Quite simply, this book is FANTASTIC! Mr. Reinagel has blended together the feel, the action, the excitement, and, the drama, of the classic pulp characters. All while keeping to a plot that more then gives justification to the multiple characters. If, like me, you are a fan of the pulp era, then you owe it to your self to buy this book. It is well worth both the time and money."

“The greatest adventure novel I’ve ever read!
It was really engaging. Surprises around every corner! I wasn’t even familiar with any of the characters or their histories and I still loved it! Victor Kaine and Black Skull are fantastic villains!”

“An instant classic!!!
A fast-paced pulp adventure novel, beautifully illustrated. The main adventure takes place during the age of the incredible pulp heroes, the predecessors to the modern-day costumed comic book superheroes. It is a story about larger-than-life heroes with incredible gifts, trying to find their place in the ever-shrinking world. There are many plot twists and complex conspiracies throughout the story, as the main characters reveal and discover many secrets, some decades old. Filled with breath-taking adventure!”

“Wondering where all of the heroes have gone?
I was too! Until I discovered this novel. Wow! The novel Pulp Heroes - More Than Mortal contains theoretical elements from Philip Jose Farmer’s Wold Newton Universe, linking many of the fictitious Victorian families of heroes and villains of the 1800’s to characters from the pulp and modern eras. (Tarzan and Doc Savage are primary components of Farmer's Wold Newton family and universe. Their "biographies", Doc Savage: His Apocalyptic Life and Tarzan Alive, are the cornerstones of the concept.) I’ve read thousands of action/adventure novels and I’ve never seen anything like this one. Fans of the Doc Savage and Shadow series from the 1930’s will love this story. A roller coaster ride from start to finish!!”

“Big surprise!
This usually isn't my genre, but thought I'd read it upon recommendation by a friend. I'm glad I did! The author creatively weaves many well-known characters from both fiction and non-fiction together into one single storyline. It was both refreshing and entertaining. I found that I couldn't put the book down!”

“WONDERFUL!!! Dynamic! Engrossing! Powerful atmosphere!
A masterfully woven and complex pulp noir novel with charming and charismatic characters. With the recent success of movie trilogies, including Lord of the Rings, Spiderman, X-Men, and the Mummy, Hollywood has been frantically searching for the next big box office success. This popular series is destined to be the next Harry Potter. Filled to overflowing with champions of justice, unforgettable villains and dozens of well-known supporting characters from Victorian literature, such as Sherlock Holmes, Frankenstein, Phileas Fogg and many more. Real-life legends Rasputin and Jack the Ripper are seamlessly added to the cast. The author, Wayne Reinagel, effortlessly manipulates his characters like a master chess player. This is truly a science-fiction action/adventure epic of mythological proportions. The notorious Victor Kaine is the Hannibal Lecter of the Pulp Era. Fascinating!”

“Awesome, a masterpiece!
In the scope and scale of great literature, the author, Wayne Reinagel, turns the dial up to 11 on this anamorphic widescreen production. The novel begins in a blaze of gunfire with a shootout in the streets of New York City and the pace never slows down as the story takes us to Whitechapel, England; Equatorial, Africa and even the North Pole. A stunning masterpiece!”
